1. What are the codes and conventions of a print advert?

The codes and conventions of a print advert consist of big, bold text. Most of the time they have the logo of the company they are promoting but sometimes that isn't the case, especially if they are a big company because the people making this advert thinks the audience will just know what company it is by other key features- eg: colour scheme, text etc. This leads on to that some of the other codes and conventions consist of using colour in some way, it can be to represent a mood/set a scene or represent a logo/company brand.

2. Find examples and analyse existing products, applying uses and gratification theory, semiotics, cultivation theory, two-step flow theory, identify technical codes used.
