Peer feedback from Canon print ad

Image
To receive peer feedback, I conducted a short survey on a google forms survey. This was so i have an idea on how well my print ad would do if it was released into the media. Here are the results: From looking at this feed back, I can see that this product would do well but it still needs a few more final touches such as a nicer font etc. But the feedback does seem mainly positive and the main comment on what seems to stand out about the print advert is how the bright colours were a good idea. This is good as it links to the earlier survey where I asked what draws people to print adverts and the main feedback was bright colours.

peer feedback from print ad

To get a better understand on how well my print ad would do, i conducted a survey on google forms to then send to my peers for them to complete. This was so i could reflect on what i done well and what i didn’t etc. Above are the results. As you can tell, the main, prominent feedback is that it would of been better if i didn’t do it last minute (which wasn’t down fully to my time management skills). Also i get the impression that my product would do well if it wasn’t for that as both peers say they would maybe take on my product if they worked for mind and the main prominent feedback is about it being rushed and not paying attention to detail. On top of this as well, they also said that my product both follows and challenges the codes and conventions of these types of print adverts and products that do that normally have a good engagement. Their reasonings for this is i followed them but the main thing i challenged was the colour scheme. Another predominant feedback point was the ...

planning for smile print advert

Due to different circumstances, i am not able to do the tv advert so instead, i am having to do a print promotional poster to advertise minds campaign smile.  For the print advert, i will definitely be incorporating the mind logo, the every mind matters bubble and a tagline. For the image i would like to keep it simple and keep it as one singular image. For the image, i am going to take a portrait photo of someone for the background photo. Then, i will download a transparent png image of a smiley face emoji to go over their face. This is accompanied with the tagline fake it until you make it. First things first, i filled out all of the pre-production paperwork such as risk assessments etc. What i done to complete this print advert was firstly, plan out what i was going to do for this advert. After planning, i then started collecting the images that i needed for the print advert from google images such as the smiley face, every mind matters and the mind logo. The next day, i then we...

smile campaign storyboard

I have created a storyboard for the smile campaign advert that i am producing. The premise of the story board was to capture key parts of the advert and then write about what is going on in each scene.

Research self assessment (updated)

Image
After reflecting of the feedback, i have improved on it and added missing pieces of work etc.  I have added more content explaining about Mind and certain products they done in the past, one example being the Blue light project. I have added a narration to most, if not all, of my blog posts explaining what i have done for each task and why and also why it links in to future tasks. For example the videography task links to the tv advert as it was practice for doing different shots and learning why they are used etc.  I have also added my power point about mental health and the effect of smiling and also what type of people are more statistically likely to be hit with bad mental health compared to others.

Feedback from pitch

      3. 2. 1. From the feedback i received, it shows that the main thing i have to do to improve is expand on the idea more and went into the specifics of the idea and how it will. I have taken on board the feedback from my peers and have improved on my rationale. I have done this by firstly adding more content to my power point, further explaining the narrative of the tv advert. I have also expanded my powerpoint by explaining the reasoning why i have chosen to take the tv advert in the direction i want to- as well as adding more detail to everything else. What i have learnt from this is to have more detail in the powerpoint instead of things just being brief.

Peer feedback from Canon pitch

Image
For collecting feedback from my pitch, i have created a survey to primarily research into how the target audience will react to my product after it is finished. I also received feedback in the form of written out sentences. This is as the pitch is to showcase my ideas for the product. Here are the results: From receiving this feedback, i have learnt that this product will do well with my audience when it is produced. The main feedback i have is that the product is well thought out and detailed and it is good that there is an intended message behind it.

Analysis of existing products to inform ideas

The promotional material that mind produces are appealing to the audience by centering their content around the viewer by showing things that may help the viewer in situations that they are in. They lean more towards "we recognise/hear you" rather than 'bigging' themselves up. What i will take from this is to not make promotional material that shows off the company, rather so, help the viewer. This also appeals the viewer as the content is relatable so the viewer will be more drawn to the company and it also gives off the impression that the company cares about the audience. These print adverts also have a colour theme of being along the blue-yellow colour wheel axis, this is as, in colour theory, yellow represents happiness, joy etc and blue can represent the polar opposite. This is effective as the theme of the print posters are mental health. Tv adverts ."Mind" mental health advert 2021 The first tv advert is by mind. The advert follows someone around a...

defining a target audience

Image
I conducted a survey to find out what my target audience will be for my smile campaign products, the results were out of 15 people. I used both qualitative and quantitative questions and wanted qualitative and quantitative results but mainly quantitative. I also recorded the results in mainly a quantitative way. This is to make sure who i am aiming the tv advert at. Here are the results: 7 people said yes, and then the last 8 were split into two with 4 saying no and 4 saying depends. This shows that people are more than likely going to be influenced and inspired by the advert.   12 people said online and 3 said tv. This shows that it will be more effective if the advert is put online instead of on tv as more people will see it.     12 people said they are in the close age bracket of 16-17, 2 people (3 if including me) are 18-19 and one person is 20. This shows that the product should be aimed more towards mid to late teens. 7 people said they don't follow trends, 7 ...

Analysis of existing products

Image
This print advert showcases the product in more of a light, fun way. This is to mirror how to product is more portable than other cameras and is small and light to carry around and use in any setting, mundane or professional. Also on how it's target audience is form everyone who isn't a child as it is marketed to look easy to use/understand so even people with little to no camera experience can find it easy to use, in contrast to other cameras that canon have produced that are high end and professional. The light colours such as the light blue, green and pink are used to give the add a less serious and professional tone that is normally used on other cameras adds to show the high quality and professionalism of the cameras.  In complete opposition to the other print ad, this one takes more of a professional, serious tone, featuring darker colours and a landscape background. This marketing technique is used to show off how the product's (EOS 5D) target audience people who t...
