defining a target audience
I conducted a survey to find out what my target audience will be for my smile campaign products, the results were out of 15 people. I used both qualitative and quantitative questions and wanted qualitative and quantitative results but mainly quantitative. I also recorded the results in mainly a quantitative way. This is to make sure who i am aiming the tv advert at. Here are the results:
7 people said yes, and then the last 8 were split into two with 4 saying no and 4 saying depends. This shows that people are more than likely going to be influenced and inspired by the advert.
12 people said they are in the close age bracket of 16-17, 2 people (3 if including me) are 18-19 and one person is 20. This shows that the product should be aimed more towards mid to late teens.
7 people said they don't follow trends, 7 people said sometimes and one person said yes. This shows that the product should take a unique turn and not reference to trends that are in the media.
6 people said spending time with their friends make them smile the most, 3 said spending time by themselves, 2 said doing hobbies/interests, 1 said animals and 3 said all/most of the above. This shows that the product should take a turn towards friendship groups etc.
Out of the different answers, they all seem to have a similar theme of talking to people by complimenting them or making jokes.
