Two step flow theory- Someone who you look up to promoting a product to get peopole to buy

cultivation theory- repeated messages to sway people to change their values/ideologies 

hyper reality- wanting to engage more online than in the real world 

fandom theory- finding like minded people online who like the same specific thing as you, band,movie etc. Also where fan art falls into.

Reception theory- prefered theory (100%) that you agree with. Opposition, don't agree. Negotiated theory (50/50).

identity theory- using online media to construct who you are.

use and gratification- what the viewer/consumer is getting out of it.
