In this lesson, i started editing my smile print advert. I firstly uploaded my unintended picture onto Photoshop and then sized up the picture so it would fit the full screen by dragging it out. After that, i then began the editing process. I achieved this by adjusting the brightness/contrast levels by creating a new, adjustment layer and then selecting brightness/contrast and adjusting them. Another way i gave the photo the desired colour/shade, was by adding a colour layer over the top but not a fill colour as this would just be a solid colour. I went with a theme of darker and blue-er colours this is to mirror what the character is feeling in the print ad.

What i done this lesson was finish off the editing process for the advert. Since i completed the colour/lighting editing part of the picture, i then moved onto the main other part of it which was adding the other images/stickers/logos etc on top of the main picture. I placed the bright, yellow smiley face sticker over the models face to give the fake it until you make it message. The reason it is bright yellow is because of colour correspondences relating to the colour such as happiness, joy etc. Also because it opposes blue on the colour wheel so it adds to the contrast. Since it wasn't a transparent png, I had to erase the excess image. I done this by using the lasso and eraser tool on the layer that the smiley face is on. I used the slider to change the size of the eraser so it will be clean and not messy.
I then added on the mind logo and every mind matters logo but all I needed to do was place it in either bottom corners as these are transparent pngs so none of the erasing was needed. I then typed out the slogan onto the print ad in yellow to contrast the background to show the clear difference and also accompany the smiley face. I chose the slogan to be "Fake it until you make it" to show off what was mentioned in the brief, that smiling apparently improves mental health issues.

For this lesson, i saved my finished product and uploaded it on to blogger and started writing about it.I was typing about why i chose the choices that i have, how i have portrayed them etc. Later, i am also going to add my evaluation into this blog post, talking about what i have done well, what i will improve on etc. I also created a survey, this survey was a way for me to receive peer feedback from my peers. The survey was on google forms and it featured both qualitative and quantitative questions. This was so i had more of a range of answers to work with rather than just a written up few sentences for peer feedback. Examples of the questions i used were "what would you improve about my ad", "What would you not change", "If you were working for mind would you approve my product".

In this lesson, i collected the data from the survey and then screenshotted the results and uploaded it to blogger. I also analysed the results on blogger and also written about why i conducted a survey. For feedback reflection, i talked about what the main feedback was, both positive and negative and if i agree with the feedback as well. I also finished off writing about my product and started writing up my self feedback and evaluation in the same blogger post. For my self feedback/reflection, i talked about the basics such as what i done well, what i can improve on etc.

For this lesson, i finished up the blog post i last mentioned which featured: the product, talking about/ explaining the product, my evaluation and self feedback and reflection. I went into detail about why i chose my ideas -even down to the colour symbolism, what i done well, what i could improve on, my skills developed and a reflection of how far i have came.
